Managing the Production of Product Price/Bin Labels

 

Product Label Maintenance

Maxim handles different label formats and sizes by creating different label print programs. The label programs that are required for a business are held in a table that has the required label printer allocated to these label programs.

 

Allocating the correct label printer to the label program is required for every user who will be managing the production of labels. This happens from the Printer Management screen using the Label Printers button.

 

The label type (label program) required for a product is applied to bins where there is the ability to change the label type for individual bin products.

 

The Label Type is allocated to the bin locations selecting from the drop down list.

 

 

The Label Type allocated to a bin will automatically be applied to the products allocated to the bin. The Label Type is able to be changed for individual products within the bin.

 

 

Label Type Defaults

 

The Default Label Types will be selected when a product has not been allocated a Label Type in a bin.

 

 

Producing Labels

 

From within Maxim there are five functions where product labels can be produced. These functions place the selected products in a Label Printing Control screen. This screen allocates the selected products to the correct Label Program linked to the correct Label Printer.

 

Product Receipt Label

 

Labels can be created from the APRECPT:PO/Product Receipts screen by accessing the T button (Print product or packet labels).

 

 

Bin Labels

 

Labels can be created for a single bin or a range of bins.

 

 

Manually Selected Labels

 

The Label Type will default to the Label Type set in the bin.

 

In a company structure that has multiple branch stock locations, the Location will default to the Location set for the User’s logon defaults.

 

 

Promotion Pricing Labels

 

 

Price Change Labels

 

Price changes can be committed for a Location and/or Supplier

 

 

The Commit Changes process creates the price changes for the selected products and selects the labels for the products.

 

 

Label Printing Control

 

The labels to be printed are listed in the IVLABPC:LabelPrintingControl screen. The selected labels are organised by Label Origin, the Label Program required, the printer required, the product location and the User who created the label requests.

 

The products selected show in the right hand screen.

 

 

Print Label Origin will create a print file using the LabelProg listed to be printed by the listed printer.

 

Delete Label Origin will delete the selected Label Origin.

 

NOTE: Label selections are not automatically deleted once printed. Labels can only be deleted from this Label Printing Control screen.
