PRIBINM Allocating Bin Id's

Before allocating Bin IDs you should consider an appropriate bin coding structure to ensure that appropriate bin ranges can be selected for stocktakes, reports and label printing.

 

You should consider the following:

 

The Bin ID can be up to six alphanumeric characters.

 

Be consistent when formatting the Bin ID. For example if using an alpha + numeric

 combination, code as follows:

 

HDW01 to HDW09

HDW10 to HDW99

NOT

HDW1 to HDW9

 

 

Selecting Bins

 

Selecting HDW0*

Selecting HDW*

Selecting HDW0

Selecting HDW02

will select bins HDW01 to HDW09

will select bins HDW01 to HDW99

will select no bin

will select bin HDW02
