Key Words
You can enter multiple key words. The end of a word is determined by a space. The string, GALV NAILS represents two words.
Use Of The * or ? Character
Adding an * or ? at the end of a search string will assist in finding more products.
The strings GALV and NAILS will look for the words as specified.
The strings GALV* and NAIL? will find words such as GALV, GALVANISED, NAIL, NAILS
The * or ? character can be used in these fields: Key Words, Category, Sub Category, Product Group and Status.
Note: The * or ? will only work when added to the end of a string. It will not work at the beginning of a string.
Creating A New Item
There is a facility to use an existing product as default input for a new item. This facility is only available from the product search screen and only for standard products.
| 1. | Locate on the product that is the closest match to the new product item required and then F4. |
| 2. | The New Product window will default to use this item as default input for the new product. You have the option to not use the item as default. |
| 3. | The PROD2:New Product screen will default the following fields with data from the default item |
| - | Product Code |
| - | Category, Sub category |
| - | Short Name, Long Name |
You should then edit these fields appropriately.
