MailChimp Integration  -  Lists Management

Lists Management is where you link together the lists you have setup in MailChimp with a Contact Group in Maxim.

The screen will automatically filter the lists to the ones assigned to you.

There is a filter box which allows you to select

1. All Users

2. Unallocated Lists or another user from your organisation.

MailChimp

This section of the screen shows all your lists from MailChimp.

MailChimp1

This section of the screen is where you pick your Contact group from Maxim.

MailChimp2

Group UserID: you F5 in this field to select the Maxim User the Contact Group has been setup under.

Group Name: here you select from the drop down list the Contact Group.

Contacts: this is the number of contacts in the Group Selected.

No Marketing Contacts: if the campaign type is set to Marketing this will show the number of contacts that have the No Marketing Material option set.

Contacts to Sync: if the campaign type is set to Information the contacts synced with MailChimp is all the contacts in the group, if the campaign type is set to Marketing the contacts synced with MailChimp are only the contacts in the group who don’t have the No Marketing flag set.

The User field shows who the list is allocated to. When you update the Group UserID field this field will automatically be completed with your user ID. If you would like to allocate the list to another user you can F5 in the field and select another user.

MailChimp3

This section of the screen is where you select what type of campaign this list is linked to.

If you select Information all contacts in the group will be synced, if you select Marketing only the contacts in the group who don’t have the No Marketing flag will be synced.

MailChimp4

In the List Description field you can give a brief description of what the list is for. This is helpful if your organisation has a large amount of lists.

MailChimp5

This section of the screen shows you whether the number of contacts in the group matches the number of contacts in the MailChimp list. If the red tick is showing this means the number of contacts don’t match, try Syncing the Contacts.

MailChimp6

***Note: If you have a list that has the Campaign Type set to Information and one of your contacts unsubscribe from the campaign your Subscribers will not match your Contacts to Sync,
as Maxim will only update the No Marketing Material flag on the contact and an Information list will upload all contacts including No Marketing Material contacts.

In this case you will have a red tick against this list, until you remove the contact from the Maxim Contact Group.***

Sync Contacts

This will download all the contacts that unsubscribed from the Campaign and tick the No Marketing flag on the contact.

This will also upload all contacts from the Maxim Group, updating the details MailChimp has and add any new contacts MailChimp doesn’t have in the list.

View Unsubscribed Contacts

If there are contacts who have unsubscribed from the campaign you will be able to press this button and view who they are, if they have left a note / message you will be able to view this here.

Unsubscribe Contacts

Here you will be able to select contacts from the Contact group who you wish to unsubscribe from the MailChimp list and update the No Marketing flag in the contact in Maxim.

My Contact Groups

This will open the My Contact Groups screen in Maxim.
