We have developed the tracking notifications system in a way that enables you to customise both the email and SMS messages that are sent to your clients.
Sales/Customers | Inquires | Courier Post | Notifications Centre
All the notifications are setup to go out when Courier Post scan the barcode at different stages of the distribution process depending on the Event Type you have selected.
Both Email & SMS notifications are sent out automatically when the tracking data is downloaded.
Email Notifications:
• | Event Type |
This is where you select the scan event for the email message. E.G. “Acceptance” is when the courier picks up the package from you and scans it into their van. For a further explanation of the other scan types please see the attached document.
• | Email Subject |
This is the subject line of the email. Reference tags can be used in the subject line. See the list of Reference Tags below. This field has a maximum of 1000 alpha numeric characters.
• | Email Message |
This is the body of the email message. Reference tags can be used in this field. See the list of Reference Tags below. This field has a maximum of 5000 alpha numeric characters.
EXAMPLE: Email Notification
SMS Notifications:

This is where you select the scan event for the SMS message.
• | Message |
This is the SMS message. Reference tags can be used in this field. See the list of Reference Tags below. This field has a maximum of 160 alpha numeric characters.

This inserts the contact Name.
This inserts the tracking Number.
This inserts the link to the CourierPost website with the tracking number. From here they can track the whole process (Can only be used in the message of and email notification) |
