uniPaaS / Maxim Function Keys

 

 <F1>

HELP

This displays the help text window if available.

 

 <F2>

CANCEL

Use this key if you want to abort what you were doing. If the data you have entered will not clear, you will need to finish the transaction and

then <F3> to delete the transaction.

 

 <F3>

DELETE

Use this key to delete the current record displayed. You cannot retrieve a deleted record.

 

 <F4>

CREATE or INSERT

 

Create or Insert a record. Puts the screen into Create Mode.

 <F5>

ZOOM

Zoom will open up another window - gives you further information.

 

 <F6>

WIDE

Will display the full field.

 

 <Esc>

EXIT

Exit from the current screen. <Esc> is not a cancel operation. Any changes made will be committed

 

 

Directional Keys

 

The data display may be in one of two modes: Line Mode or Screen Mode.

 

In Line Mode, multiple records are displayed on the screen and the record's fields are arranged in columns so that the screen looks like a table.

 

In Screen Mode, the entire screen is used to displayed a single record whose fields are arranged around the screen.

 

To move from record to record, use the following directional keys.

 

<Up Arrow>

to move one record up (in line mode).

<Down Arrow>

to move one record down (in line mode).

<PgDn>

to display the next page.

<PgUp>

to display the previous page.

<Ctrl + PgDn>

move to the bottom of the visible page.

<Ctrl + PgUp>

move to the top of the visible page.

<Ctrl + Home>

move to the top of the table (first record in table).

<Ctrl + End>

move to the bottom of the table (last record in table).

 

 

 

To move from one field to another within a record:

 

<Shift + Tab>

move to the previous field.

<Tab> or <Enter>

move to the next field.

<Alt + Right Arrow>

move to the end of the row.

<Alt + Left Arrow>

move to the beginning of the row

<Ctrl + PgDn>

move to the bottom of the visible page.

<Ctrl + PgUp>

move to the top of the visible page.

 

 

 


 

Buttons

 

<Alt + the underscored letter>

will activate the button function.

 

 

Application Function Keys

<Shift + F12>

Calls the program associated to the shift function for the screen.

 

Associated Screens - Allows selection of an Associated Screen or locating another screen via a generated browse screen, or direct access to any screen within the application.

Note: <F8> is not available from the Context Menus.

 

When used from an application screen, will open the User Menu associated with the current screen, if available, or will open the Program Window 1. When used from the home screen, will open the Program Window 1.

 

Opens the Program Window 2 from anywhere in the application.

 

Opens the Program Window 1 from anywhere in the application.

 

Opens the Maxim Messages window.

 

Opens the client documents folder.

 

Opens the company documents folder.

 

Opens the Contacts window.

 

Opens the Mail Send window.

 

Opens the Mail Sent window.

 

Opens the Parallel Windows menu.
