Changing Discount Defaults

If any defaults are changed you will be advised that new pricing records are to be created. You should confirm the prompt.

New pricing records will be created for all products in the category / sub category grouping, where the default being changed is the same on the price records, or the price record discount is zero. That is, if a discount on any price records have been changed and are now different to the default discounts, and are not zero , the price record discount will not be updated.

If required, this logic can be overridden and a new price record created for all products in the category / sub category group by ticking the Override price change logic? field.

Changing Retail Markup %

If the retail markup % is changed you will be asked to confirm the creation of price change records. You should confirm the prompt.

Price change records will be created for all products in the category / sub category grouping, where the retail markup % being changed is the same on the price records, or the price record markup % is zero. That is, if a retail markup % on any price records has been changed and is now different to the default retail markup %, and is not zero , a price change record is created.

If required, this logic can be overridden and a price change record created for all products in the category / sub category group by ticking the Override price change logic? field.

The price changes can then be viewed via the Price Change Screen. Committing the changes and updating prices will create a new price record, updated with the new price and respective mark up %.
