Default Corporate Group, Default Company

Establishing these defaults means that when the user accesses the Open Business (Logon) screen, these defaults are used rather than the current settings from the Magic.ini file. If the defaults are left blank then the current settings from the Magic.ini file will be used.

Where multiple corporate groups are used, you need to be logged onto the Corporate Group required as the default, to be able to validate the Corporate Group and Company combination.

Allow To Select At Logon?

If these fields are unticked (False), the user will not be able to select a different Corporate Group or a different Company from the Open Business (Logon) screen. This restricts the user from being able to access different company data.

Department

If a department structure is used, and the option Department Required On Sale Invoices? on screen Sales / Despatch Options  is set, then the department selected for the user is the default department for Sales Invoices, Despatches, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Job Quote screens.

Location

In a Multi Location structure, the Location selected for the user becomes the default stock location. See screen Inventory Options for this setting. This default would be used in Sales, Despatch, Sales Orders and Purchase Order screens.

The Department and Location will validate against the Default Company, or if blank will validate the company logged into.

Ignore ROC?

All major reports are processed through a report queue which you can control. A Report Acknowledgement screen is displayed when one of these reports is run. This screen enables you to go to the Report Queue Monitor and Print Queue Viewer screens. If you do not require this level of report control then Ignore ROC will allow this.

Print Direct?

This will override the Report To Backup Option. This should be used ONLY where printing from backup is not an option because of the network connection type. For example, W2000 Terminal Server has an issue when requesting a report print from backup.

The Print Direct? setting is maintained through a Logical Name setting.

Product Search Screen

This is an option as to whether the PRSRCH:Product Search screen or the Product Code Search screen is the first screen displayed.
